  1. Names of Fields in the Locality of the School:-
    There is a field near Mr. James Shanleys near the Double Ditch and it is sometimes called the "Leanery Bocht". This is probably a corruption of "L'eaya Bocht" which means a poor meadow. As a matter of fact, the field is not so good for meadows on the farm, and that is why it got its name.
    A field in Miss Boynes land just opposite the school is called "The Raheen" which is the English form of An Raucín meaning the little forth. Of course there is a lior or forth in the field.
