  1. Thunder Storm
    In the year of 1911 a terrible thunder storm occurred that both young and old living at the time witnessed. The thunder roared and the lightening flashed and the rain fell very heavy. At that time a man named Mr James Logan had some land taken as you go down Ash-Hill on the left hand of the road. There was one big field and he had 17 cattle on it.
    When the storm came they ran for shelter under a big ash tree, a flash of lightening came and split the tree and killed the 17 cattle. Several
