    Whillow: scum of buttermilk and fine oatmeal made into a paste and applied as poultice

    Blood:
    (1) 3 Feeds of boiled nettles in the early summer is supposed to be an excellent tonic. The leaves are boiled like cabbage and prepared for consumption in the same wa.
    (2)Another home made blood purifies and made used in this distant is ; cream of tartan
    sulphur
    treack mixed into a syrup. The whole family takes a spoonful of this mixture, It prevents boils, pimples and all skin blemishes
