    Story
    Saint Patrick when landing in Eire sailed up the mouth of the Nanny River, which flows through Duleek into the Irish Sea at Laytown. There was a number of men fishing for salmon on the river. They had a few caught in their nets when Saint Patrick approach- ed them. He asked the fisher - men for a salmon. They refused to give him any. Ever since there is no salmon in the River Nanny.
