    Tommy Hopkins was a fair man who assisted Pat King at the great big fairs of Strokestown. He had his home at Caggle Keenagh where Mary Hopkins lives now. Grazers at them times were anxious to have their stand occopied before day light. Clocks were not as plentiful at them times as they are now. But when Tommy awoke after the first sleep he got up and set off for Ballinafad.
