    4.Some common Salt put into churn after making the butter ,is believed to have the effect of preventing the evil-minded neighbour from "bringing "the butter.
    5. If a cow died it is believed that in some cases she may be "taken"by the "good people".In order to test this ,a hatchet is swung three times over the head of the beast before skinning it;if the animal has been "taken"its head is then seen to move.
