    Bonfires are lit on all the hillsides on this evening and singing and dancing are continued long into the night until the fires die out.
    Stories are told by the older boys sitting peacefully around the fire and games are played by the younger crowd.
    In some remote districts farmers burn a bush in the middle of the field of their farm.
