- (continued from previous page)in it when they reached a large flat stone. They began to think for a while what would they do next. In the end they got courage and began to raise the stone. When they had it raised they were delighted to find all the gold they needed and so they filled their bags and pockets and got away as quickly as they could. They had not gone far when a wicked woman followed them and terrified them so much that they were compelled to drop the gold so they left it and ran away. In the end they stopped for a chat and one man got courage and ran back but the gold was gone. The man went back and told them and they said "we are not finished yet". They arranged to meet again early the following morning and they would try the other stone. They met the next morning and went to the other stone with their tools. They began to dig until they reached the flat stone and as they were about to lift it a wicked man with a gun appeared and so they all ran for their lives and never came there again. The two large stones are still to be seen in Hennedy's field(continues on next page)
