    from elder twigs. The frame is made from thick elder sticks It is getting small at the top.
    We get a thin elder twig when it is made and a piece of wire is put under the thin twig. When the bird perches on it, the trap will fall on her.
    Girls make dolls from rags. First they get two buttons for eyes then they get different kinds of thread for the nose and mouth.

    The great famine began in the year 1845 and ended in 1848. At that time the people had to live on potatoes.
    This parish was thickly populated before the famine. A great number of people died of starvation.
    The famine was caused by the failure of the potatoe crop. When the blight came on the potatoes they began to decay in the ground, and afterwards
