    Dear one my friend to you I send,

    Altho' to day you're far away,
    I'm thinking still of you.
    The happy days we used to spend,
    Around the roads & lanes,
    And view the cars that run along,
    The main road to Roscrea.
    And on a lovely Summer's day,
    To stand and comtemplate,
    Delahunty's stalwart fortress,
    As seen from Suttons gate.
