About a week ago I heard this story about the "Black Stone" of Knockane. It begins thus:- A family named the Conway lived in a small hut, where a large ash tree is now growing.

and go back to Knockane and put the stone back in its place. He was also told that he would get a shovel and a spade in O'Donnell's cowhouse. He did as he was told , and came back to Knockane. All that he was told was true, for he got the shovel and spade in the cowhouse, and he put the stone back in its place. This is a true story and ever since the stone has been known as the "Blackstone Conways".
