Some people put bad eggs in their neighbour's ricks, thinking that whatever bad luck was in their own farm would go to their neighbour in the eggs. - If you went under a ladder you would never grow again, but if grown up people did this they would have bad luck.
If you let your glove fall from you it is said that a disappointment will happen to you, but if you get another person to hand it to you nothing will occur to you. - It is said also that if you turned your dress inside out in mistake that you will have good luck.
