  1. May Eve Stories
I heard of a lady that went visiting on May Eve. Another lady accompanied her. The journey was to Pallaskenry or some place in its neighbourhood. Their were joking about the fairies when one of them remarked it was May Eve. What was their surprise, when the horse dropped dead under the car. They then remembered, the often heard, it was unlucky to be out after dark or dusk on May Eve.
