    A Ship Wreck
    Long ago there used to be many ship wrecks in Cork Harbour especially at the beginning of 1800 up to 1900. The ship-wreck that I heard about is a ship which came to Ballybranagan. The name of the ship was "Ibis". It came in a few years before I was born. Every grown-up person around my place in Cloyne knows about "Ibis".
    It was coming from England with a general cargo for christmas.
    It was near Cork Harbour when a storm rose and sunk it. There were a great many people drowned and some of their bodies came in between Ballycronin
