  1. 1.
Green be thy Woods Leamlara all
    Bright visions you will carry
Of thy sweet lakes and waterfall
    Where lovers long will tarry
There nature first the woodlands deck
From Clash to Cúil a Yara
And wild flowers bloom with sweet perfume
    In beautious bright Leamlara
    2.
What joy when Ormond claimed the hand
    Of Pretty Young Miss Barry.
And took her to his castle grand
    In darling sweet Tipperary.
But oh, what joy when Cromwell said,
    Protect the great De Barra.
His broad Demesne let him maintain
    In peace, in sweet Leamlara.
    3.
The Castle and the upper lake
    Its Bulwarks now are scattered
Where Barres flag and proudly wave
    Before its walls were battered
When that proud Chief Mcartys Reagh
    Marched round by old Knockraha
    McCarthy's might did vanquish right
    That night in Sweet Leamlara.
