There was a well near Donoughmore which was dedicated to Saint Louictín. One night some man desecrated it and in the morning it had vanished. In about a week's time it was found in a lonely glen some miles away.
A maid who was working in a house beside the well tried to boil some of the well water but she failed to do so.
