    The Government had this townland Carraganes in olden times. They also had Meenganine and Williamstown and they sold them to different landlords. Dunscombe bought Meenganine and Williamstown.
    The landlord that bought Carraganes was Doctor Towhill. He was a good landlord. He had an agent in Millstreet Mr. Hegerty who collected the rent. There were no evictions in the townland. Doctor Towhill was a doctor in the army. He had this townland for a number of years.
