  1. The people in olden times were well satisfied with three meals a day. The poorer people had to put up with two meals. The meals were called Breakfast or "Brukish" dinner and supper. For Breakfast the people used potatoes and milk. The potatoes were fried sometimes as they were left over cold from the previous days dinner. For dinner the meal was potatoes again with butter or dripping melted called "dip". At night the people used oaten meal and milk or roasted potatoes and milk.
