- Murphy's Rock is situated in the townland of Boolypatrick in Blarney Parish and in the County Cork. This Rock was supposed to cure warts. It is in the dyke of the road, locally called the Madman's Road. It is a solid round - shaped rock with a hole in the centre. Anyone having warts was supposed to put as many stones as he has warts into a bag, drop (they) them at Sunberry Cross, then dip his hand into the hole which is nearly always full of water and thoroughly wet the warts.
