    This is a story told to us by a visitor who came to visit Blarney Lake in the year 1880. The story was written in a book called "Bits of Blarney". There was an unbaptised giant living in a Castle in Blarney which is not any of the present Castles or ruins. He had as many wives as a Turk. There was plenty wine in the Castle but no water.
    There was no well there and the River Martin or any other river was not flowing through Blarney at that time as it is now. The giant's wives were tormenting him because they wanted water to wash themselves. The giant had an aunt who was a fairy. He went to her and
