  1. There are at least three lisses in the townland of Kilbarry. The old people say it is dangerous to interfere with them as they are peopled by fairies or Good People.
    I often heard that lights were seen in them at night, and some of my neighbours saw and heard the fairies.
    The lisses are overgrown now with Raithineach at it is difficult to make out their shape or the entrance to them.
    One of the lisses is in Mr Deane's field. A neighbour told me that a young man went down that liss and brought up wooden cups, but being afraid of the Good People he put them back again.
