   There was a man living in [?]Gurrane long ago and his name was Charles Donnell. He was getting afraid of the robbers so he put all his gold into a boot and buried it. There was a lot searched for the gold but no one ever found it. The holes are to be seen yet. When he was leaving the herd of cattle he had covered a mile of road. The name of the field where he buried it was Bán na Sióg.
