  1. The only fort in my district is in Lissarda and this is about a mile from my house. It is situated on a high hill and there is a beautiful tower standing a few yards from the entrance about sixty feet heigh.
    Many years ago a great Protestant named Mr Beamish lived in this tower with his wife. When he was about to die he willed that he and his wife should be buried in this "liss" and so it happened that he was. Then it was closed by the other Protestants and it remained this way for a long time. One Sunday evening about two years
