    the wind. There used sometimes be only one kitchen, and the window, was a very small one.
    The whole house contained only two rooms besides the kitchen. They had not enough room for their beds upstairs sometimes, so they put one of them in the kitchen. This bed was closed up during the day, and was used as a seat. The floors which they had in the houses long ago were made of earth, and sometimes they had big flags.
