    the potatoes are sprayed. This is done two or three times in order to prevent the blight.
    The potatoes are dug in the months of September and October. They are sorted and made into heaps.
    The farmers grow two crops of potatoes, the early crop and the main crop. The early varieties are Elephants, Epicures and Flounders and the main crop are Arran Banners, Arran Victors, Kerrspink and Queens.
