    Poem
    Im bound to leave sweet Edmonstown,
    Indeed against my will,
    To leave all in this country,
    My eyes with tears do fill.
    But I trust in God that I'll come back,
    To see my friends once more,
    In the lovely shades of edmonstown,
    Down by Lough Gara's shore.

    With its ivy-coated door,
    T'was erected by out forefathers
    In the cruel days of yore,
    It was not cut down (G) by Cromwell,
