There is a well named Ladywell about a mile from Ballinakill but it is situated in County Kilkenny.
People say that a trout with one eye was seen in it. People visit the well on the fifteenth of August and say the Rosary going around it on their knees. There was a girl from Nenah cured in it, she did not walk for a couple of years, and when she came back from the well she was able to open the door and walk in.
The well was repaired last year, there is cement about a yard out, all around it. There is also a big stone cross in it, and steps down to it.
On the fifteenth of August a big green, white, and gold flag is hung in the tree. Mr Delahunty owns the field that the well is in, he lives in Abbeyleix.
