- There is a mass bush in Newtown in Monahinch bog and it neither withers nor grows. It is said that during the penal days a priest used to come to this bush and say mass.
- There is a field in Ballygarvan in which masses used to be said long ago. It is said that the owner of this field ploughed it one time. The next morning when he went out the field was turned green again the same as if it was never ploughed.
