One morning alone 'twas for pleasure I sported
And down by the groves where the wildfowl resorted
So charmed was I with their tunes so melodious
Of the warbling thrush and the sweet nightingale
The turtle dove mates their sweet tunes were repeating
The blackbird and thrush their shrill notes were relating
When slowly I wander sometimes meditating
On the transending beauties of Castletown Dale.II;

The goodness of wisdom her aid not refuses
The lyrie of Apolla in co with the muses
Resounding the beauties of Castletown Dale.III;

Its banks decorated with roses and eglintime
With assortments of deal; larch,spruce and Indian pine

The hook of the anglet all seasons are smashing
In the spontanous River of Castletown Dale.(continues on next page)
