  1. I live in a historical ccountry known as Graney.
    Graney presents a different appearance to day to what it did in former days.
    To day only ruins mark the place where famous buildings stood.
    Its beautiful monastery connected by secret under ground passage with the Franciscan Abbey in Castledermot was destroyed by Cromwell.
    All its sacred vessels and valuables were thrown into a lake which partly surround the monastry.
    These objects were never recovered, but a twig was out down to mark the spot where they were thrown in.
    This twig grew to a large tree and is to be seen to day.
    The castle was also destroyed by Cromwell and when its foundation were taken up about forty years ago two cannon balls were found which are in the neighbourhood still
