  1. Some years ago there was a priest living in Clough, the next parish to Castlecomer. He was said to be a saint on earth. His name was Father O'Keefe. There was a man named Mr. Moore in Castlecomer parish. His wife was very sick. He went for Father O'Keefe. He came. Mr. Moore was outside the door waiting for him. The priest said to him "do you believe, do you believe." "I do Father," said Mr. Moore. There were some neighbours in the house. The priest went in and said some prayers over the sick woman. When he came out he said to Mr. Moore "she will be with you for another while. The woman got well and lived for some years. Mr. Moore is now dead R. I. P. He told that story himself.
