    by the people of Boyle, that his pupils were the best to be found in Ireland. At that time he taught a family named McCabes , and another family named Kieltys. There was a man in Boyle, years ago, named Patrick McCabe R.I.P. who wrote a lovely manuscript, and the writing is like copper-plate. This man was taught by Master Frank Jones, and this manuscript is still in the possession of the Kieltys, although it is over one hundred years old. There were two great teachers in Boyle, over a century ago, named Master Ned Flaherty, and Master Michael Fallon. These two men taught in the old school, which was situated behind the old chapel, and are spoken of to-day as wonderful teachers.
