    There are four graveyards in our barony but the most important of them is Kilronan, within whose walls lie interred the remains of O'Carolan the last of the Irish bards.

    Summer, or if all other wells in the district are gone dry Lasar Well is always full to overflowing.
    There is also Foyhóges graveyard which is situated about two miles from Ballyfarnan. The people of the district say that in olden times there lived on the hill above Foyhóges two young giants. One day of them defied the other to throw a huge rock from the top of Corn Hill to Foyhóges bridge. Seizing an enormous rock the young giant threw it with all his might down the hillside. It landed just beyond the bridge and ever since the spot has been called "Foyhóges" on the young giant's bridge. The people of the district also say that the two giants were buried in the field adjacent to the graveyard. The
