    ridges. When the potatoes are sowed in drills, eight drills go to a perch. The drills are always faced towards the mid day sun..
    First the ground is dug or ploughed. Then the drills are opened with a plough or with a shovel. Then the potatoes are put in. About a week before the potatoes are sown they are cut and lime is shaken on the seed to heal them. The manure is put on the potatoes then. Sometimes the manure is put under the potatoes.
