    Old Crafts.
    The old mill in Clane which is now in ruins was used in olden times for spinning and weaving.
    My Grandfather Reddy who died about ten years ago, and who was then over eighty and his sister both worked in that mill. The wool was woven into woolen cops then they weaved it and made blankets, frize, and cloth of every description.
    When the weaving was done they dyed it what-ever colour they wanted it.
    Lime is burned in a big kiln in the Quarry and the lime is used for dashing houses.
