    Fort Point:-
    is the point on which in lighthouse is built. Written as "Fort Point" on charts. Cromwell's soldiers built a fort there and it takes its name from that. The lighthouse is sometimes called "Cromwell Point lighthouse.
    This point is generally called "Seithe" by the old people.

    Beenakryra Head - Binn na gCreidhreac
    Creidhreac is a fish with bright-red scales. This particular fish is found in large quantities around this headland.
