    vill Co Armagh and men crossed this ford from Monaghan and cut down some of the timber during the night.
    Early in the morning the old English landlord got word about it. He at once sent for the police. In the quarrel that followed one of the men was killed and whether it was a policeman or a Monaghan man no one knows.
