    a sign of good weather. If the cuckoo or the swallow comes early it is a sign that we are going to have a bad summer - and if the cuckoo or the swallow comes late we are going to have a good summer.
    The robin has a red breast because when the soldiers were following St Stephen he had a cut on foot there was dots of blood on his way. When the robin would come to a dot of blood he would soak it up with his wings. That is how the robin had a red breast.
