St. Maldoil was wishing and praying where he would build a Church. One day he was walking around Muckno Lake. He suddenly saw a pig swimming out of the lake and coming to shore. The pig repeated this three times. Then he went back into the lake. This was the place where he built the Church. There are stones and ruins of the Church still to be seen. The ruins are near the lake. There are stones near the lake in a heap. That is all that is to be seen now.
