    Alder: The bark was dried, and boiled in water. When cold it was taken trhee times daily-an egg cup full each time as a cure for jaundice diarrhoea etc.
    Hoarhound. The whole herb is used either boiled of powdered as syrup for all kinds of cold and coughs. Also used as a cure for worms.
    House Leek: Bruised fresh leaves were used to cure sores burns stings etc. Also good for warts.
    Nettle: During the Famine the young shoots were boiled and used both as a food and cure for scurvy.
    Got from Mrs. Anne Sullivan died 1927 aged 87.
