path is covered with slates the same as the other one. There is a quarry near it and it is situated in boggy land. The place is very level all around the quarry. They say that a band of fairies play there every night. The hill is very level between the two. A great number of wild goats come down off the top of the hill to feed there every summer. There are big trees growing near the path. There is an echo heard there some times. If there was a person dead some where in the district the echo would be heard going along that place. A few years ago there were bagpipes heard playing around there when an uncle of my fathers was dead.
