the blood of the cattle he killed.
He then fell out with a widow and he made a prisoner of her only son.
The widow had influence with an officer in the English Army. The officer came to the Castle demanding the widow's son.
"Yes" said O' Donoghue "you shall get him".
O' Donoghue went into the Castle and killed the widow's son and brought him out dead. The officer fired a cannon ball at the Castle from Rae na Groice [?] mountain and knocked it Some men were brought up for it They were hanged in the field behind the school.
It is said that the widow cursed
O' Donoghue for seven generations to live in Tomies near the Killarney Lakes. There he also had a castle but he left that later and went to live in Baile na hbhann.
