  1. When it is going to rain, the sky gets very dark and dull. The old people say that when the swallows fly near the ground that it is a sign of rain, but when the swallows fly high in the sky that is a sign of good weather.
    When half a rainbow is in the sky that is a sign of good weather.
    The night that it is going to freeze the evening beforehand would be very hard and dry.
    When the wind is from the North-east it is a sign of fine weather and when the wind is from the South or South-west it is supposed to be for bad weather and storms. When the sky gets dark and cloudy, and when the air gets heavy, it is a sign of wet weather. When the cat turns his back to the fire it is a sign of snow, and when the dog eats grass
