    One night there was a man from Inch coming home after playing cards about one o'clock...

    (continued from previous page)
    He recognised her writing the minute he saw it and he was actually delighted when he found out where his daughter was. On the following day the man and the girl's father rode back to Inch for the girl. Her father was delighted to meet her and before they left for home, he was so thankful to the man who had saved her that he promised her in marriage to him. Sometimes afterwards they were married and they lived happy together forever after that.
