    gentleman named Moynihan who at that time lived in a place called Freemount. This section of land was situated around where the Presbytery and Convent are now built.
    After living there for some time they found that the place was too small for their Monastery and for their own Religious activities. In any case they were too poor and not able to pay the rent and they were about to be evicted.
    Therefor they had to look for a place in some other part of the country. After a great deal of searching for a place they were offered a mountainy district near Cappa Quin in Co. Waterford. They decided to accept this and there-
