    and mixed with flour and salt, neither water or milk were added. When it is baking it is sometimes out in four parts which are called "parleys". Boxty is made by scraping unboiled potatoes. Then it is mixed with flour and salt and baked on a pan.
    Bread was baked every day. There was a cross put on the cake in order that it would bake right. Bread was baked before the fire on a griddle, mostly oaten bread was baked in that way. Pancakes were made on St. Martin's day.
    Nearly in every house there is a square hole in the wall and is always kept nice and clean. It was never without bread. When the people would come in at night for fun, anybody that was hungry could put up their hand and take
