    blight. The farmers also raise a lot of cabbage plants for the market. They grow turnips and mangolds for their own use as these are given in great quantities to the cattle during the winter months. The other vegetables raised for home used and for sale are onions, carrots, parsnips, peas, and beans, lettuce, and cabbage.
