  1. Emlymoran is the name of our village. It is in the parish of Castleconnor, and in the barony of Tireragh. Emlymoran means Moran's Borderland. It is situated a mile from the church and six miles from Ballina.
    There are about twenty houses in it, and about a hundred people. The houses are all slated, and all the people are Catholics.
