  1. In the townland of Townalaughta there was a school long ago. Michael P. O'Connor taught in that school. There were three-legged stools in it for seats.
    It was built with sods and there were no windows only holes in the side walls, and when the weather was very rough or when rain fell these holes were stuffed with bags.
