  1. Once upon a time there was a man who stole a straddle from his neighbour. He went to Confession and told the priest what he had done but warned him to tell nobody about it. The priest promised not to tell anybody but still the man had his fears and doubts. The following Sunday he went to Mass. When the priest turned to the people and said "Per omnia saecula sacculorum" he shouted up from the end of the church "I know you would tell it with your straddleorum".
